Stories

Change it when life changes.

The principle

Events, not intervals.

Calendar maintenance fails because nothing on the calendar feels urgent. Event-driven maintenance works because the event is already happening.

The list is short and mostly obvious once written down: you changed something important, someone left your circle, or something was exposed.

Re-writing a card takes a couple of minutes. The hard part is only remembering that now is one of the times.

Triggers

Go to the drawer when:

  1. I

    The email moves

You changed the address or password everything recovers through.

  2. II

    The number changes

New phone account, new country, new SIM.

  3. III

    Someone leaves

    A relationship, a housemate, a business partner.

  4. IV

    A leak lands

You were told a service was breached and you changed something.

  5. V

    A card goes missing

Change the password, re-write the set you still have.

Not a chore.
A response.
