Work that must not leave a trace.

The situation

Copies are the risk.

Reporters, researchers, lawyers and people helping others out of bad situations all share one habit: they try to reduce the number of copies of anything sensitive, and they try to know where each one is.

Ordinary tools work against that. Sync makes copies by design. Backups make copies of the copies. Devices are searched, borrowed and replaced.

This is not a claim that a card solves those problems. It is one narrow, useful property: a card is a copy you can count, hold, hide and destroy.

The properties that matter

Countable, quiet, disposable.

  1. I

    Countable

You know how many exist because you wrote each one yourself.

  2. II

    Quiet

It does not check in, sync, notify or appear in a list of devices.

  3. III

    Blank

There is nothing printed on the card that says what it is or whose it is.

  4. IV

    Disposable

A card can be rewritten or destroyed. There is no server-side remnant to request the deletion of.

Fewer copies,
each one accounted for.
