Description
MI8OS is a physical backup for the small set of secrets you cannot afford to lose. It complements your everyday password manager rather than replacing it.
Three identical MI8OS Vault Cards for your most important secrets. Carry one, keep one at home, and keep one elsewhere.
The MI8OS app encrypts your vault on your phone. Each card stores only the encrypted vault, ready to be updated whenever you need.

Create a vault
Add secrets and choose a password. Encryption happens on the phone.

Write the same encrypted vault to all three cards.

Can I buy a single card?
The set is three cards on purpose: one to carry, one at home and one elsewhere.
Does the card need charging?
No. It has no battery and is powered by your phone during the tap.
Which phones work?
Recent iPhones and Android phones with NFC.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay for the cards once.
What if I lose a card or my phone?
A lost card contains no readable vault data. If you lose your phone, install MI8OS on another compatible phone, tap any remaining card and enter the vault password to restore access.
What if I forget my vault password?
It cannot be reset or recovered. MI8OS has no recovery code, reset email or support override.
Can I stop someone from erasing the card?
Yes. You can protect this generation with an optional master password so other people cannot erase its keys or password slots.
